The achievement of SDG 4 for education is dependent on the opportunities and challenges posed by technology. EdTech is an array of overlapping, integrated, and independent tools. It delivers content, connects teachers with students, and students with their learning. It provides access to information. It can gather, analyse, and report data vital for understanding teaching and learning.

The impact and effectiveness of EdTech creates passionate debate. Across Africa, governments and schools are implementing education technology, and understanding how to find success in their process is vital. The purpose of this assessment tool is to gather empirical data and evidence of the impact of EdTech on learning outcomes, and which capabilities lead to successful implementations. These insights help to guide large-scale implementations from vision to iteration and beyond.

This assessment is designed for Ministries of Education and should take around 20 minutes to complete. Please answer each question as best you can, with thoughtful responses that will allow for the completion of a precise report and recommendations to follow at Innovation Africa 2025.
